6. Theatro Municipal

Atualmente, essa é a única instituição cultural do Brasil a manter simultaneamente uma orquestra sinfônica, um coro e uma companhia de ballet.

8. Biblioteca Nacional

De acordo com a Unesco, a Biblioteca Nacional do Brasil está entre as 10 maiores do mundo e é a maior da América Latina. A instituição foi oficialmente fundada em 1810, inicialmente, seu acervo era composto por cerca de 60 mil peças trazidas pela corte portuguesa em 1808.

9. Museu Nacional de Belas Artes

O Museu Nacional de Belas Artes é o lugar ideal para quem quer conhecer melhor a história do Brasil. A instituição fica no centro histórico da capital carioca e ocupa um edifício tombado como Patrimônio Histórico pelo IPHAN (Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional).

13. Escadaria Selarón

Localizada no bairro de Santa Teresa, a escada Selarón, uma obra concebida pelo artista plástico Chileno Jorge Selarón, que usou azulejos coloridos de diversas partes do mundo para compor esse mosaico em forma de escada, que já serviu de cenário para clipes de artistas renomados, como o grupo U2.

14. Pedra da Gávea

Quem gosta de ficar em contato com a natureza precisa conhecer a Pedra da Gávea, que é o maior monólito à beira mar do mundo, com 800 metros de altitude, já tendo servido, inclusive, como ponto de referência para os navegadores. 16. Floresta da Tijuca

O Parque Nacional da Tijuca, popularmente conhecido como Floresta da Tijuca, é a maior floresta urbana replantada do mundo. 17. AquaRio

O AquaRio é o maior aquário marinho da América do Sul, ocupando uma área de 26 mil m² e abrigando, aproximadamente, 300 espécies de animais marinhos, que estão distribuídos em 28 tanques. O destaque do espaço é o grande tanque ocênico com visão panorâmica. 

18. Parque Lage

O Parque Lage está localizado no Jardim Botânico aos pés do Corcovado, o local conta com uma área verde de 52 hectares e tem um antigo palacete construído em 1929 aberto ao público. No interior dessa construção, junto a um espelho d’água, funciona o Plage Café, que serve café da manhã e almoço.

19. Real Gabinete Português de Leitura

O Real Gabinete Português de Leitura é o lugar que abriga o maior número de obras lusitanas fora de Portugal, são cerca de 400 mil títulos. O espaço foi inaugurado em 1837 por imigrantes portugueses, que queriam promover a cultura na capital do Império.

Atualmente, o Real Gabinete Português de Leitura figura entre as 50 bibliotecas mais majestosas do mundo, segundo a revista Architecture & Design.

20. Praia de Copacabana 

A Praia de Copacabana é uma das mais famosas da capital carioca. Localizada na zona sul da cidade, essa praia é conhecida por sua areia branca e fina, mar com águas translúcidas e o calçadão com pedras portuguesas pretas e brancas, e pela sua ótima estrutura para receber os turistas.

Além disso, no calçadão da praia, mais especificamente na altura do ponto 6, está instalada a estátua de Carlos Drummond de Andrade, um dos mais importantes poetas brasileiros.
